MinutePhysics

MinutePhysics is a youtube channel run by Henry Reich, a physics graduate from the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. He is currently studying film production at the University of Southern California. Henry explains various complex concepts in physics with his doodles, in under a minute. I have been following him for more than three months now and I must say there is something new for everyone to learn.

Here is a link to his presentation at the Perimeter Institute about making effective youtube videos. Here he explains the story behind the conception of minute physics. He also compares his channel with other websites which communicate science in a similar manner, like Khan Academy.

Many have criticized Henry saying that they are unable to follow the videos due to the speed of the narration. He responded by saying that rather than having a really long video, which could end up being boring, it is better to have an action packed one minute video as the viewers can watch it multiple times. I agree with him.

The following are some the the videos in his channel that I love

1. Distance and Special Relativity - How far is tomorrow?

2. What is Quantum tunnelling?

3. What is the uncertainty principle?

4. Arrow of time ft. Sean Carroll

5. GPS

I would strongly suggest all the readers of this post to subscribe to the youtube channel and also follow minute physics on twitter (@minutephysics).
